Watch Sturgill Simpson Rip Through “Life Of Sin” On Letterman
Sturgill Simpson’s Metamodern Sounds In Country Music cracked our list of the best albums of 2014 so far, and we’re not the only ones transfixed by Simpson’s forward-thinking take on traditional country. Apparently, so are the talent bookers at The Late Show With David Letterman. Simpson stopped by the show last night to rip through “Life Of Sin.” The performance inspired Dave to declare, “Commonwealth of Kentucky, ladies and gentlemen. That’s all you need right there,” then envision a Mountain-Dew-fueled road trip soundtracked by Simpson’s music. Watch below.
