David Bowie Promises New Music “Soon”
Last year, David Bowie broke a 10-year silence to release his album The Next Day, announcing the LP’s release only a few days before it was out. And that was a really good album! So it’s good to learn that we won’t have to wait another decade for more music from the man. As NME reports, London’s Terrence Higgins Trust recently threw a benefit honoring Bowie. Bowie didn’t perform, or even speak, but he did issue a statement to the Trust. And here’s what it said: “[London] is even better than the one you were in last year, so remember to dance, dance, dance. And then sit down for a minute, knit something, then get up and run all over the place. Do it. Love on ya. More music soon. David.” It’s impossible to know what Bowie means when he says “soon,” but it’s good to know that the wheels are turning.
