Watch Cat Power Perform With Eddie Vedder In Portugal
Eddie Vedder sang backup on a couple of songs on Cat Power’s 2003 album You Are Free, and she repaid the favor when she showed up on “Tonight You Belong To Me,” a song from Vedder’s 2011 LP Ukulele Songs. This past weekend, Vedder played a solo set at Portugal’s Super Bock Super Rock festival; it’s the set where he covered John Lennon’s “Imagine.” And during that same set, he also brought Chan Marshall to the stage to sing “Tonight You Belong To Me.” She wore a Wu-Tang shirt, and Vedder said nice things about her and gave her a bottle of wine to drink onstage. Watch a fan-made video of the performance below; Marshall comes onstage around the three-minute mark, and the clip also features Vedder’s cover of Neil Young’s “The Needle And The Damage Done.”

That Vedder stage patter sure goes on for a while, doesn’t it?
