Last night, Lily Allen posted a photo to Instagram of her being put in handcuffs outside of Gold Coast Airport in Australia, where she’d be playing Splendour In The Grass. The photo was posted with just the word “#uhoh” and gained more than 7,700 likes. According to The New Zealand Herald, an Australian police spokesman said that Allen requested that the officers who were escorting her out of the airport place her in handcuffs in order to take the photo. Lily’s obviously no stranger to controversy, but this little prank seems to have gotten real people in trouble. “It appears the members involved were caught in the moment and standard protocol were breached,” the spokesman said and noted that the incident was now being investigated internally. The photo has been removed from Instagram as well.
