Bloody Knees – “Stitches” (Stereogum Premiere)

Bloody Knees are a British pop-punk band that alternate between grungy drone and rapturous vigor. “Stitches,” the title track from their upcoming EP on Dog Knights, is sort of like Blue Album era Weezer if they’d hewed closer to Nirvana than Pavement. Although the band name is Bloody Knees, the song is about when frontman Bradley Griffiths smashed his face open while on tour with Wolf Alice. “I’m covered in blood/ But at least I’m having fun” goes the chorus.
