Foo Fighters Finish “Epic” 8th Album, Set Sonic Highways Premiere
We’ve recently learned about a new Foo Fighters album recorded at studios around the country, including collaborations with the likes of Joe Walsh, Gary Clark Jr., Zac Brown, and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and most certainly not bleak and Radiohead-like in any way. (Perish the thought!) We also learned about the band’s HBO series Sonic Highways, which involves Dave Grohl interviewing the artists and engineers at each of the studios the Foos visited. Now comes word that the series will premiere on 10/17 at 11 p.m. and air for the next seven Friday nights. Also, according to Nevermind engineer Butch Vig, the album is done, and it is epic:
We are officially done with the new Foo Fighters album.

That’s a lot of days to spend on mixing! The album is expected out this November on RCA/Roswell.
