Alt-J – “Every Other Freckle”
We’ve already heard two tracks from Alt-J’s upcoming LP, This Is All Yours — the Miley Cyrus-sampling “Hunger Of The Pine” and the Black Keysian “Left Hand Free” — and now they’ve shared a third, “Every Other Freckle,” which, let me tell you, is a seriously weird song — and not like artsy weird or self-consciously weird but a genuinely strange piece of construction and composition. My first thought was: the Beta Band meets Mumford & Sons, but it’s better than that. And weirder. Listen.
This Is All Yours is out 9/23 on Canvasback/Infectious.
