The queasy Portland indie-poppers Wampire, a 2013-vintage Band To Watch, seem poised to move away from their jokey roots on their new album Bazaar. Unknown Mortal Orchestra's Jacob Portrait produced the album, recording it live-to-tape in Brooklyn, and it finds the band tackling darker themes than the did on last year's Curiosity. We've already posted first single "Wizard Staff," and now we get to hear opening track "The Amazing Heart Attack," which rides a wave of Ariel Pink-inspired riffage to something resembling punk rock.
