Paramount Pictures has just picked up Top Five, a movie written and directed by Chris Rock, after it got pretty good reviews at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival. According to Deadline, Kanye West and Jay Z co-produced the movie and the executive music producer was Questlove. The film stars Andre Allen as a fictionalized version of Rock that’s pushed by a journalist to confront his comedy past after a successful film career. The film also has appearances from Rock himself, Rosario Dawson, Kevin Hart, Tracy Morgan, Cedric The Entertainer, and a bunch of others. It’s not clear how big of a role Ye and Jay had in making the film.
