The new Weezer album rollout has lasted longer than 65% of American marriages, and what do ya know, IT CONTINUES. Today, the band drop another dumb-concept video, teasing another Everything Will Be Alright In The End track, "Lonely Girl." To my ear this one sounds like standard post-Pinkerton filler; not bad, not real interesting, perfectly acceptable. I should say that the last song they released, "Cleopatra," is one of my favorite post-Pinkerton Weezer songs, so I'm not hating. I want this album to be GREAT, I promise, because I am a Weezer fan, and they have it in them to be GREAT. This, to me, sounds no better (or worse) than pretty good. Listen for yourself and let's talk about it.
