Queens Of The Stone Age To Reunite With Nick Oliveri For Elaborate Halloween Bash
Former Queens Of The Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri will reunite with the band at an elaborate Halloween show at The Forum in Los Angeles. Oliveri was kicked out of the band in 2004 after recording Rated R and Songs For The Deaf. He performed with the group live for the first time in ten years back in April at a show in Portland and sang backup vocals on “If I Had A Tail” on last year’s …Like Clockwork. “Josh asked me to come up and do six songs with Queens, like an encore set. A reunion, but not a reunion,” Oliveri told NME. ” I’m going to get up and play some bass and sing some songs at the end of the show. It should be an interesting night.” The event takes place on Halloween night and will feature “pagan festivities,” games, and a haunted house. The Kills, JD McPherson, and the Uncontrollable (a duo made up of Oliveri and the Dwarves’ Blag Dahlia) will also perform. Check out the poster for the show below.
