With the way Ryan Adams churns out music, it makes sense that he would be able to come up with a decent song right on the spot. That’s exactly what he did at San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass concert last weekend. Towards the end of his set he thanked a bunch of people in the audience and called out someone in the back who was holding some balloons in the air. “Three fuckin’ balloons in the back of the park,” is how he starts off the song before riffing on the idea for over three minutes. Even when Adams realizes the guy is actually holding four balloons, he incorporates it into the song. And it’s pretty good! Watch the video below.
