James Mercer doesn't even look comfortable in a club when everyone else is frozen. That's my main takeaway from the clip for "After The Disco," the title track for the newish Broken Bells album. In the video, Mercer and his bandmate Danger Mouse wander through a nightclub landscape full of unmoving figures. Rooms repeat over and over, and I don't know what any of it is supposed to mean. Director Nelson De Castro is responsible for this piece of special-effects trickery, and you can watch it below.
