Röyksopp – “Sordid Affair”
Röyksopp have shared another song from their upcoming final full-length, following “Skulls,” “You Know I Have To Go,” and a reworked version of the Robyn collaboration “Monument.” This one features Man Without Country vocalist Ryan James. Röyksopp describe “Sordid Affair” as “a recollection and contemplation of the emotional aspects of the endeavours as described in the track title. The difficulties of letting go of emotional attachments — even those of a questionable nature.” Listen below.
And here’s what new collaborator James had to say:
It was quite a surreal experience. I’d only spoken to Torbjorn once via Skype prior to recording and I hadn’t heard any of the music they wanted me to sing on. I felt slightly out of my depth at first. I felt privileged to be asked to collaborate with Röyksopp, and to be invited into their unique musical world.
The Inevitable End is out 11/11 on Cherrytree/Interscope.
