BJ The Chicago Kid – “Good Karma”
BJ The Chicago Kid is an R&B singer associated with the TDE label, and he’s the voice you heard on tracks like Schoolboy Q’s “Studio” and Chance The Rapper’s “Good Ass Intro.” He’s got a great scraggly tenor and a loose, vaguely psychedelic sensibility, and he’s seemed like someone who is going places for a while now. Recently, BJ offered up a loose new track called “Good Karma,” an orchestral soul track rendered with a light touch. It’s good stuff, and you can hear it below.
This is a good time to point out that “His Pain,” BJ’s 2012 Kendrick Lamar collab, is a fucking amazing song, and you should totally listen to it.
