Cult Of Youth – “Roses”
Next month, Brooklyn goth-punkers Cult Of Youth will give us their towering new album Final Days. First single “Empty Faction” was ferocious and claustrophobic, and it sounded like a death-rattle happening in a basement punk show. But now they’ve shared another new song called “Roses,” and it’s a different story entirely. “Roses” is still a dark and intense song, but it’s also stately and gorgeous, built from strings and acoustic guitars. It shows that this band knows how to open things up just as much as they know how to pummel. Listen to it below.
Final Days is out 11/11 on Sacred Bones.
