Record Store Day Black Friday ’14 Exclusives List Revealed
For the past few years, Record Store Day has extended its tendrils from its usual April date into Black Friday releases, which is on 11/28 this year. This year’s list of exclusives include the usual mix of mainstream and indie releases, with the tables tilted a bit towards the mainstream. Case in point: both 5 Seconds Of Summer and Ed Sheeran will be putting out some vinyl this year. Other artists include a reissue of the Beatles’ EP Long Tall Sally, David Bowie’s “Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime),” a Morrissey-curated Ramones compilation, Outkast’s “Player’s Ball,” and some previously announced stuff from Flaming Lips, Jenny Lewis, St. Vincent (two new songs), Chvrches, the Decemberists, Conor Oberst, J. Mascis … there’s a lot! The Big Lebowski and Little Miss Sunshine soundtracks will get a vinyl release, as will a song from Frozen. And there are Neil Young t-shirts featuring artwork from some of his lesser known albums. You can see the full list of releases right here.
