Tobias Jesso Jr. Preps Debut Goon With Ariel Rechtshaid, Patrick Carney, Chet “JR” White
Singer-songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr. has captivated us since “True Love” earlier this year and it seems like we’re not alone. In a new interview with Pitchfork, he details some big-name collaborators that he’s working with for his debut album, Goon, which is due out next year. In addition to former Girls bassist Chet “JR” White (who produced “True Love”), the album will feature production from Ariel Rechtshaid, Patrick Carney, and the New Pornographers’ John Collins. That’s a pretty interesting team, and it looks like Jesso will be putting out one of the most anticipated debuts of next year. Read the full interview here, where you’ll also learn Jesso once served as the bassist for Rebecca-Black-meets-Avril-Lavigne pop act Melissa Cavatti. Check him out in this video.
