Watch The World’s Most Popular A Cappella Group Cover Fleet Foxes In The Woods
Pentatonix is an insanely popular a capella group from Texas who catapulted to fame after appearing on NBC’s talent show The Sing-Off. They usually stick to covering pop songs, but for their new Christmas album, they’ve taken on Fleet Foxes’ “White Winter Hymnal,” which I guess is a Christmas song because it has to do with snow? Even though it’s kind of violent and dark… Oh well. It’s a supremely Autotuned version of the track (doesn’t that defeat the point of a capella?), and in the video, all five members sit in the woods and do some handclaps. It’s interesting to give a listen to, even if just for the cringe factor alone. When is Robin Pecknold coming back again?
