Justin Vernon Is Starting His Own Music Festival
Justin Vernon is planning his own music festival. According to The Current, permits have now been approved for the Eaux Claires Music And Arts Festival, a new outdoor event that will take place in the Bon Iver singer’s hometown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 on the Foster Farm, with on-site camping the day before and after. Vernon is teaming up with Crashline Productions, who also responsible for Boston Calling, to put on the event. Permit applications say that they’re expecting up to 25,000 people to attend each day, and that there will be three stages: two outdoor ones and a tented stage. Vernon will curate the festival’s lineup and art installations. No official details have been announced yet.
