Orange Cassettes – “Go In The Light” (Stereogum Premiere)
Orange Cassettes have their roots in the ’00s NYC Rock Renaissance. Anton Harmony (Radio 4) and the Mod (Elefant) have combined forces and taken their punchy garage-rock influence in a new direction. Today we premiere “Go In The Light,” a busy, danceable track that nods to New Order in the chaos of its composition and Cut Copy in its palpable disco influence. The lyric that is repeated throughout the track — “Go in the light” — touches upon the psychedelic realm as well. Listen below.
The “Go In The Light” 12″ is out tomorrow, 11/4, on Ring The Alarm. Pre-order it from the label, iTunes, or Amazon. Orange Cassettes play Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn on 11/12.
