The Yellowbirds played their last show at Baby’s All Right in Brooklyn last weekend after announcing last month that they were splitting up. This isn’t the end of the line, though, for frontman Sam Cohen, who is working on a solo album to be released in early 2015. Today, Cohen shares a track off his upcoming LP. “Kepler 62″ is a cheery, stripped-down rocker that captures the understated psychedelic characteristics of the Yellowbirds’ sound, adding some unexpected retro dimensions. Cohen’s solo debut will be out in 2015 via Easy Sound.
