Watch Eddie Vedder And Liam Gallagher Cover The Who At Tribute Concert In London
Last night, the Who celebrated their 50th anniversary with a tribute concert at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The band recruited a ton of singers to perform their songs, including Eddie Vedder and Liam Gallagher. Gallagher sang “My Generation” in his first live appearance since the split of Beady Eye, and Vedder performed “Naked Eye,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” and “Listening To You.” For his final song, Vedder brought out everyone who had performed that night (minus Gallagher) to sing along with him. Other performers included Wilko Johnson, Ricky Wilson of Kaiser Chiefs, Rush’s Geddy Lee, The Strypes, and Tom Odell. Roger Daltrey performed two of his solo songs to round out the night, but Pete Townsend wasn’t in attendance because, according to NME, Daltrey explained that he was “at home looking after the dogs.” Watch video of Vedder and Gallagher performing below.
