Run The Jewels’ live show in a big, noisy, life-affirming thing, and it’s absolutely something you should make a point to see when it comes to your town. That’s true whether or not El-P and Killer Mike have any guests with them; they kick plenty of ass on their own. But at L.A.’s Echoplex last night, the crowd got a few fun surprises. The duo played Red Bull Sound Select 30 Days In LA, and they brought the three biggest-name guests who appeared on their amazing RTJ2 album. The Rage Against The Machine screamer Zack De La Rocha came out to spit his verse on “Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck).” Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker brought his precise clatter to “All Due Respect.” And former Three 6 Mafia member Gangsta Boo, pictured, recreated her great cameo on “Love Again (Akinyele Back).” Right now, there are only a few Instagram videos of those De La Rocha and Barker appearances online, but they’re worth watching anyway; check them out below.
