Ride Announce Reunion Tour
The great British shoegaze band Ride broke up in 1996, and they’re one of the few bands of their vintage who haven’t jumped back on the reunion-tour circuit. That could change soon. As Dangerous Minds points out, the billboard pictured above seems to be up in Barcelona. Time Out Barcelona tweeted the photo of it last night, and Creation Records, Ride’s British label, put the photo up on Facebook with no caption this morning. Barcelona is, of course, the site of the Primavera Sound Festival, which often features a few big-name reunions. Next year’s Primavera comes to Barcelona 5/28-30, and right now, the only announced act is the Strokes. It doesn’t take a huge leap to think that Ride could join them soon.
