Last night, Mavis Staples threw a star-studded tribute concert in Chicago for her 75th birthday. Celebrity guests and performers were abundant, including Jeff Tweedy, Gregg Allman, Emmylou Harris, Eric Church, and Bonnie Raitt. Arcade Fire's Win Butler and Regine Chassagne were also there and came out to perform a cover of the Talking Heads' "Slippery People" with Staples. The Canadian band performed with the R&B icon earlier this year at one of their shows in Chicago.
