Goddam, what a great night for music on late-night TV last night was. We already posted the glorious vision that was the reactivated Sleater-Kinney on Letterman. That should be enough! But we also got Run The Jewels, the group who made our favorite album of last year, on Conan. In a casually intense performance, Killer Mike and El-P slammed their way through the Run The Jewels 2 track “Lie, Cheat, Steal.” (Conan: “I’m not doing that!”) These two make this shit look so easy, and they manage to convey the idea that they’re just playing around but that they could also burst into actual flames at any moment.
