Here's another project to keep Damon Albarn from ever finishing another Blur album. Albarn wrote the music for wonder.land, a musical inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. The script and song lyrics are by Moira Buffini, the National Theatre's incoming director Rufus Norris will direct, and it's a Manchester International Festival/National Theatre co-production. After debuting in Manchester this summer, wonder.land is scheduled for London's National Theatre in November, followed by a run at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris in 2016. Tickets for the Manchester shows are on sale here starting 1/22 at 11:30AM GMT.
Next up on Albarn's schedule: Probably some shit besides finishing the next Blur album.
