Operators, Dan Boeckner's synth-pop band with keyboardist Devojka and Divine Fits bandmate Sam Brown on drums, released EP 1 last summer. Whereas lead single "True" had a swaggering sway to it, the new "Ecstasy In My House" is built on a rippling up-tempo synth part that will make your heart race -- and, possibly, your fist pump. Hearing Boeckner's trademark rock 'n' roll howl against an entirely synthetic backdrop is somehow both surreal and totally natural. It's a far cry from Wolf Parade, but it works. Listen below.
