Desaparecidos Sign To Epitaph, New LP On The Way
Conor Oberst may have put Bright Eyes to rest, but he’s not finished with the bands of his youth. Oberst’s punk band Desaparecidos has been active on-and-off since 2010, when they got back together after an eight-year absence. But despite a handful of singles and shows, they haven’t released a full-length album since 2002 debut Read Music/Speak Spanish. That’s about to change. Today the band confirmed that they’ve signed with Epitaph and will release an LP this year. The album features the original lineup of Oberst (vocals/guitar), Landon Hedges (bass/guitar), Matt Baum (drums), Denver Dalley (guitar) and Ian McElroy (keyboard). They also revealed a smattering of tour dates including previously announced Coachella and Forecastle appearances. Check out the full itinerary below; tickets are available at the band’s website.
