Rone – “Sir Orfeo” (Feat. Sea Oleena)
French producer Erwan Castex makes music as Rone, and recently came to our attention through a collaboration with Bryce Dessner of the National on “Elle.” Now, the Berlin-based musician has shared another track from his upcoming album, Creatures, this time featuring Sea Oleena’s Charlotte Loseth. “Sir Orfeo” coasts by on atmospheric synths, and Loseth’s voice blows through like a breeze, darting in and out of the dreamy, slow-building track. “Sir Orfeo” is also named after an anonymous Middle English epic poem derived from the Greek legend of Orpheus and Eurydice about a king who rescues his imprisoned wife from evil fairies by playing the harp so well that the fairy king releases her. Listen below.
