Twerps – “Stranger” Video
The Australian band Twerps released their jangled, nervous indie-pop album Range Anxiety last month, extending the long and proud legacy of jangled, nervous Australian indie-pop. We’ve posted their songs “Shoulders” and “I Don’t Mind,” and their new video for the album track “Stranger” does a lovely job translating their warm, slapdash aesthetic to film. Director Angus Lord’s clip tells the story of a little Play-Doh man seeking companionship in the world. It’s done in a photographic animated style that looks DIY as hell but must’ve taken enormous amounts of work to finish. Check it out below.
Range Anxiety is out now on Merge.
