Kindness – “Some Things Never Seem To Fucking Work” (Solange Cover)
Disco-pop auteur Kindness has taken on “Some Things Never Seem To Fucking Work,” one of the most alluring, intimate songs on Solange’s 2012 True EP. Is there a better name for a song about a frustrated, failed relationship? Whereas Solange wrapped her pain in light and airy nu-disco, Kindness directs the track to a discordant place, wallowing in the dysfunctional relationship it relates instead of floating above it. Listen below.
