In the years since the Books split up, Nick Zammuto has maintained an active recording and touring presence, but his former bandmate Paul De Jong (not to be confused with the karaoke expert and New Zealand pastor of the same name) has been pretty quiet. Now De Jong is back with the pretty, quiet "Auction Block," our first taste of debut solo album IF. "Auction Block" is a string-laden digital sound collage that reminds me of how enthralling those early Books albums were, and you should absolutely listen to it below.
