Kid Ink, Tyga, Wale, YG & Rich Homie Quan – “Ride Out”
I love Fast & Furious movies more than I love most things in this cold, cruel world, but they sure do weird things with rap music. For a movie franchise that has given acting roles to multiple rappers (Ludacris, Bow Wow, Ja Rule, Tyrese if he counts), the movies have a weird flattening effect when it comes to actual rap music. Big rap stars will show up on the movie’s soundtracks and their songs will suddenly turn into vague, inspirational anthems. “Ride Out,” from the forthcoming Furious 7 soundtrack, is a perfect example: The B-list all-star team of Kid Ink, Tyga, Wale, TG, and Rich Homie Quan get together to make a song that has none of their personalities at all. And it still somehow has me excited for the movie? Maybe I am just predisposed to enjoying this movie. I am definitely just predisposed to enjoying this movie. Listen below.

The Furious 7 soundtrack is out 3/17. The movie hits theaters 4/3. It has Jason Statham and Tony Jaa and Kurt Russell in it, and I can’t fucking wait.
