EULA – “Like No Other”
EULA’s new single “Like No Other” initiates with Alyse Lamb’s raspy acapella ramblings: “There’s a lingering of the highest caution/ I tried my best to snuff it out but it’s ignited/ If I play it right I’ll catch you.” Her words collapse in time with the bass line, a sound so integral to EULA’s particular marque of post-punk phantasmagoria that one can’t help but compare its power to the primal propulsion of legendary bands like Moss Icon. EULA’s forthcoming record, Wool Sucking, was produced by New York’s Martin Bisi, who is perhaps best known for working with Swans and Sonic Youth. If anything, the album’s melodic clamour is bound to sound gaping. “Like No Other” is the follow-up to the album’s rabid debut single “Noose.” Listen below.
