Oh, we thought this day would never come! Finally, after what feels like 50 YEARS of rumored casting decisions for what is apparently the first in a trilogy (did you know that this is a trilogy?!) of fan fiction movies that aren’t really for us, or at least most of us, or at the very least some of us — no judging — just kidding, some judging! — but no assuming — we have our Mr. Fifty Shades of Grey and our Mrs. Fifty Shades of Grey: Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson. That’s right, Charlie Hunnam from Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim and Dakota Johnson from our beloved Ben & Kate. Oh, Kate. What would Ben think?!

So, are you so mad about these casting decisions? Hahahahaa. Yes, right? This morning you were like, “First Syria, then Batman, and now THIS? I thought God didn’t give you more than you could handle!” That sounds just like you. I am truly sorry that you and Robert Pattinson did not get chosen for the roles, and I hope your wounds will heal in time. In the meantime, though, producer Dana Brunetti shared some consoling words on Twitter:

There is a lot that goes into casting that isn’t just looks. Talent, availability, their desire to do it, chemistry with other actor, etc.

So if your favorite wasn’t cast, then it is most likely due to something on that list. Keep that in mind while hating and keep perspective.
