Oh No, Laura Prepon Is (Maybe?!) Leaving Orange Is The New Black!
One of the worst things that can happen in a person’s life is that the TV show they like gets messed up. I barely even want to talk about it, it’s so sad. It’s like, one day you’re just going along, feeling like you understand that bad things happen to other people, and that it sucks, but that nothing bad will ever happen to you, because you haven’t yet been given the opportunity to feel anything other than invincible, and then WHAM! YOUR TV SHOW GETS MESSED UP! From BuzzFeed:
Laura Prepon has gotten fantastic reviews for her portrayal of Alex in Orange Is the New Black — but she will not be a series regular in Season 2, according to sources close to the show.
Prepon will come back for a limited number of episodes in the show’s 13-episode second season in order to resolve her story. And the door will be left often for her to return in the future. But the actress did not sign a contract tying her to the show for the upcoming season.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! PREEEEEEPOOOOOOOOOOOOON! WWHHYYYEEEEEEEEEEE? Luckily for the writers, on a prison TV show you always have the option of saying that a prisoner just escaped during the night, which is an exciting twist in itself, but what about US?! THE VIEWERS?! Ugh. Laura Prepon, how could you do this to us? We liked you on that show! Where are you going? Why are you going there? LAURA! YOU CAN’T IGNORE US FOREVER, LAURA!
UPDATE: Netflix claims that this news is not accurate, though also states that nothing is confirmed for season two. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?! PREPON!
