Son Pays Off His Mother’s Mortgage, Makes A Video About It
This video is very sweet. It will brighten your day and then make you feel awful about how you have never done something like this and possibly never will, unless you have, in which case I guess you should just remember when you did it yourself rather than watch this video of a bunch of strangers, you weirdo, but otherwise this is a very sweet video and I think you will enjoy it! BUT ALSO: WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO BE A VIDEO ON THE INTERNET?! If you’re going to pay off your wonderful mother’s mortgage on your birthday in order to celebrate your birth by celebrating the woman who gave you life, that is perfect and you sound great, but also it sounds like something you should do in private, without a camera set up in the room before your mom comes in? I will say again that this is very sweet! It is very sweet like many should-be-a-private-event videos on the Internet are very sweet, and very self-aggrandizing in the same way. I JUST DON’T KNOW! Should we watch it and be happy? Should we watch it and obsess over the fact that nothing we see in video form on the internet, no matter how wonderful, can never seem genuinely good because it was orchestrated with a specific element in place in order to invite strangers in to gawk at our good deed? SHOULD WE ALL JUST BE QUIET AND LIVE OUR LIVES?!
It is nice, though! Let’s all pay off our moms’ mortgages! Mothers’ Day is in about 2 weeks! (Via Gawker.)
