We talk about our problems with The Mindy Project a good amount here, which is fair, it is a bad show, but something it’s doing sort of right (or at least, sort of in a way that I’m enjoying it) is the progression of Mindy and Danny’s relationship. Its pacing is similar to New Girl’s Nick and Jess’s — which is to say, it’s surprisingly fast-paced — which is odd in that we have to believe that Mindy and Danny have known each other for quite some time (whereas Jess just moved into the apartment, and elsewhere Rachel just moved to NYC, Diane wandered in and needed a job), so it seems like some of the things they’re now discovering about themselves would have been covered already. But. It’s also just a show and who cares. Hahah. THE END. But srsly, even though I have that in mind throughout the episodes, the way Danny has softened to Mindy throughout the season still seems delicate and deliberate, and I’m enjoying it. Probably because I’m a woman? Throw in a stolen glance from a handsome man across the room and UR GOLDEN. (Chris Messina is very handsome.) I only saw the church episode this week (there was another one on last night that featured a Pretty Woman scenario, but with a man) (Mindy likes romantic comedies) (both Mindies) but I thought both Danny and Morgan had some pretty funny lines. There are so many problems with that show, but those two are good! LET’S FOCUS ON THE GOOD! (More focusing on good after the jump.)

Speaking of the good, are you guys watching Nathan For You yet? It’s good. You should be. It was good last night, just like it’s good every Thursday night. He helped a funeral home. What, do you want me to ruin the jokes for you? I refuse, just watch it! Parks and Recreation was very enjoyable. I especially loved when the drugged-up Ben said, of Leslie’s beauty, “You’re like a flower, or like– a snug bug.” Hahah. Those two! ADORABLE! One thing that’s kind of strange to me about the Ann Perkins/Chris Traeger relationship is that when someone donates their sperm to you, that doesn’t automatically mean that they are also going to act as the father? Did they ever even have that conversation? It seems like Chris just assumed he would also act as dad and Ann just went with it. I mean IT’S FINE, for sure, it’s great I’m happy for these two fictional sitcom characters and I wish them a happy fake life together, but also: what? What, Ann? I loved the Councilman Jamm plot. Good show, A+. What else? New Girl? New Girl was great, no doy. I’m a little annoyed at the idea that the things they wrote on their pieces of paper are going to come back at some point and they’re both going to say, like, “BEST FRIENDS IN LOVE” or whatever, but maybe that won’t happen. Schmidt is somehow forever very funny. Aaaaaaand The Office! I’M LOVIN’ IT! Pam reacting to the old clips of her and Jim is very sweet, and I really liked the scene with her and the handsome sound guy. The Office has been struggling for a long time with a way to keep these characters worth watching, and this season has had a bunch of bumps on the road to getting there, but I think it’s hit a sweet spot.
