Have you guys seen the pictures of Grumpy Cat at SXSW? That cat gets around! And also: That cat is so small! And also: I am not a fan of memes, and I am specifically not a fan of the Grumpy Cat meme, but holy moly is that cat adorable! And also: Do you think it's ok that its owners are flying it (I don't know if it's a boy or a girl) (I will make NO assumptions) all over the place so it could get its picture taking with all different kinds of low-level celebrities? Gothamist talked about that this week. I do not think it's ok! PETA apparently does think it's ok, because the cat's meet-and-greets are limited to only a few hours every day. But that still seems like too many hours? And too much travel? And too many bright lights and eager, confusing strangers? Don't get me wrong, I would STILL hug and kiss Grumpy Cat if given the opportunity, but I would feel very guilty about it and I would never let Grumpy Cat go on a press tour if he or she were MY Grumpy Cat. Hahahah. AHHHHH. I know that a dog riding in a toy car or whatever is not exactly NEW territory, but it is always VERY GOOD territory and we have to count our blessings. Otherwise, lots of water babies today! All water babies and two silly dogs. Loved it when the seal pup jumped back onto the kayak. "No one puts seal pup in a water." (Dirty Dancing.) Loved all of it.
