SCIENCE ALERT! SCIENCE ALERT! SCIENCE ALERT! PLEASE PUT DOWN YOUR TEST TUBES & YOUR SAFETY GOGGLES, THE TIME YOU'VE BEEN SPENDING ON YOUR "WHICH CELEBRITY HAS THE PERFECT VOICE FOR A MAN, AND WHICH HAS THE PERFECT VOICE FOR A WOMAN" EXPERIMENT HAS BEEN A SCIENTIFIC WASTE! RESEARCHERS IN THE U.K. HAVE BEATEN YOU TO THE PUNCH, I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF THE SCIENCE AND RESEARCH PRIZE YOU WERE GOING TO WIN FOR SURE! From Yahoo:

Researchers in the U.K. have mathematically determined that the perfect voice for men lies somewhere between those of British actors Jeremy Irons and Alan Rickman. (Professor Snape in the "Harry Potter" movies did always have a way with words.) For women, it's somewhere near the voice of James Bond's M, 77-year-old thespian Dame Judi Dench.

Please do not explain how you have mathematically determined that these celebrities have "the perfect voice," there is simply no explanation necessary. We get it. Judi Dench for girls, Jeremy Irons + Alan Rickman for boys. It just makes sense and I'm super happy that the information exists (not that we ALL couldn't have guessed it) and I'm super happy that I know it. This has been a science alert, thank you for your attention. (Via ONTD.)
