This week was a very easy animal video week, everybody. Such an abundance of great animal vids all over the net, my goodness, it has been just a breezy delight. Much better than the last two weeks. Not that the last two weeks were perfectly GREAT in their own way, I don't want to be down on them, they were full enough of animal videos, and animal videos are almost always great, and give me a break. But THIS WEEK? I was looking around for some while watching the State of the Union last night and did you hear the part when Obama was like, "I want to fill up the Internet. With as many animal videos. As there are stars and stripes on the American flag. Times infinity." Did you hear when he said that part? When he said that part -- I'm pretty sure he said it, I don't know, I wasn't paying great attention but I think I heard it -- I thought to myself, "YOU'RE DOING A GREAT JOB WITH THAT PART!" And then everyone stood up and applauded? Even John Boehner? And then John Boehner gave Obama a tiny kiss on the back of the head? Guys? DID ANYONE ELSE EVEN WATCH THE THING? You know, I was originally not even going to WATCH the "tapdancing cat" video? This is what I though: "Oh, a cat chasing a flashlight. Hah. Haven't seen THAT before." Sarcastic, obviously. But then for some reason I did watch it, and OH MY GOODNESS is that a good video of a cat chasing a flashlight! Possibly the best one I've ever seen. Great job, flashlight cat. You aren't number one, but you're certainly number one of your genre. Escaping panda, I know we've never met, but you have to believe me when I say that I am in love with you. You fat little pea. I want to keep you in my home forever and never let you escape until you grow large and murder me. Acting dog, HOW DO YOU DO IT? What are you? Are you an alien in a dog body? Like in Men In Black, sort of? However you do it, I love it, keep doing it. I can't believe how beautiful that baby deer is. I don't care that's it's not doing anything other than existing, IT IS INCREDIBLE! It doesn't need to do anything and besides it can't because it's a dumb baby and also a deer. I don't think there's anyone else I need to mention specifically. Congratulations to all the winners, you're all great. Better luck next time to all the losers. And I wish I could own that fat bunny.
