This is the first still from Judd Apatow's upcoming movie, This Is 40, which is a sequel of sorts to his hit comedy, Knocked Up. That is Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann reprising their roles as a somewhat unhappily or what someone would probably call "honestly" married couple. They were great as side characters in Knocked Up (although I do think it might finally be time to talk about how that was a weird movie? Very good but very weird, too) but it is worth pointing out that Leslie Mann is Judd Apatow's actual wife, which you already knew, because you're a genius, and you subscribe to Teen Beat already and so are up on all the news, but there's that and also those two girls are also Judd Apatow's and Leslie Mann's children. They were in Knocked Up, but they were also in Funny People as, like, the perfect family. It's widely agreed that Funny People was a "problematic" movie to say the least, but one of my least favorite things about it was the way in which Judd Apatow used his own family to represent the most idyllic, unattainable picture of perfect happiness. It was very weird and kind of gross and made me uncomfortable. Anyway, I'm just saying I hope he doesn't do that again. Maybe he won't! Maybe he'll rip his family a new one!
