Between this and Brett Favre last week, it is clear that some of us are getting dangerously close to needing an Open Letter. I mean, we all know how excited dad gets when he learns a new slang word and then can't stop using that slang word constantly, often wrongly, for the next 50 years. "The tie you gave me for Christmas is da bomb! Bling bling!" And it is hard as a human being with feelings to muster the heart to tell them to stop. They mean well! But dads need to know.
