I have nothing against Russell Brand. In fact, the dude often makes me laugh, and he's very brilliantly mastered the art of the internet, Twittering constantly (and much more intelligently than most celebrities) and putting up regular videos of himself being mundanely obnoxious on his website. No, it's Russell's crazy adoring female fans that I don't really get, like the ones who went NUTS when Russell put up a video of himself getting a haircut and showing just the hem of his new knickers. It's clear that Russell is definitely making fun of them, but they fall for it anyway.
Dear Russell Brand's female fans: keep up the adoring (and scary-identical) sycophantic comments, but just know that Russell is laughing at you. (Also, those poor other people! It must be almost like having to eat your lunch at a table with Robin Williams.)
