If you had told anyone even a few weeks ago that the most talked-about socio-cultural issue of the week of February 12 would be the show Wife Swap, they would have told you to get out of the city. But after an episode on January 30th featured one Stephen Fowler, a British expatriate from San Francisco, verbally abusing his assigned "redneck" "wife," saying things like "I make more money in a week than you do in a year," and basically being the biggest douchebag ever to appear on reality TV, Americans have joined together to collectively hate him to the point where he's had to resign from several boards and his wife has issued an apology for his behavior. Oh, and Stephenfowlersucks.com is now its own cottage industry. Nobody actually watches Wife Swap, so video highlights of Stephen's worst moments are after the jump.

While it's tempting to imagine Stephen Fowler losing his job over this and having to move back to England and live with his parents, this is, after all, America. So look for the Stephen Fowler Moves To A Podunk Town weekly reality show on ABC's fall slate.
