Kiefer Sutherland was on Letterman last night, finally opening up about his jail time for drunk driving. After some graceful, apologetic, responsible small talk about his "serious mistake," Kiefer shares some stories about his time in the LA County lockup, including his response to a fellow inmate's gang signs with two thumbs up, and (ugh), the absolutely requisite "dropping of the soap" anecdote. You would think soap-on-a-rope technology would have come to jails by now, and that after all that time to think, Kiefer's Letterman prison anecdote would be a little more creative. Video here.
