Earlier this month, Michael Angelakos played a solo set of stripped down Passion Pit tracks at the kick-off party for California radio station LIVE 105’s BFD Festival. The full band isn’t playing the actual festival this year — though they have in the past — but Angelakos came out to show his support anyway. In addition to rolling through some of Passion Pit’s most memorable songs, he played two tracks from their upcoming new album, Kindred: “Lifted Up (1985),” which we’ve heard before, and “Looks Like Rain,” which we haven’t.
