Watch Boots’ Larger-Than-Life Tonight Show Performance
This time last year, Boots was the mysterious producer behind so many of the sounds on Beyoncé’s self-titled album. But now he’s stepped out on his own, making his Motorcycle Jesus short film and releasing its EP-length soundtrack. And last night, Boots was the musical guest on The Tonight Show. Boots cites Queens Of The Stone Age as a big influence, and the song he played last night, the stomping “I Run Roulette,” sure shows that side of his sound. He brought two drummers, a staggering array of loop and effects pedals, and a deeply impressive light show, and this guy already looks ready for festival stages. Watch the performance below.
The Motorcycle Jesus soundtrack is out now on Canvasback/Atlantic.
